I am a co-director of The People Speak interdisciplinary art collective based in East London, where I lead on production of our projects and facilitate Talkaoke - talkshow and a range of creative workshops for cultural institutions, local authorities, community and youth groups and many more. We have a socially engaged creative practice, where we use performance art, multi-media and technology to stimulate discussion, ideas, and actions in interactive and fun environments. Our formats include The Slice Is Right - a pizza making under various political conditions, Segue - instant film-making factory, Who Wants To Be…? - direct democracy game show, One Night Grandstand - stadium in a suitcase and the flagship pop-up talk show Talkaoke Talkaoke is a unique way to hear the latest ideas people are talking about and to discover new ones together. It’s a pop-up talk show that can enliven any festival, gallery, conference or street corner. The conversation is a journey from one unexpected subject to another. It can be topical, funny, deep, surreal, or something else. The participants generate the subjects and the host in the middle keeps everybody engaged.
